Info
Cor is the fourth studio album by the contemporary MPB Brazilian duo Anavitória, winner of the Latin Grammy in the category "Best Contemporary Pop Album in Portuguese Language" in 2021. Co-produced by Ana Caetano and Tó Brandileone, the album marks the duo's transition to independent production, featuring 14 original tracks, two of which have special guest appearances by Rita Lee and Lenine, important artists in the Brazilian music.

The project reflects the consolidation of their musical and professional identity and celebrates their journey from its digital release – during the global Covid-19 pandemic – to the present.

With a fluid textual layout and adorned with organic and colorful graphic elements, the album's aesthetic candidly tells the story of the intimate production process of the songs and the powerful connection between the duo and the influences that shaped Anavitória's trajectory.

The graphic design project builds on the existing cover - created for the album's digital release, featuring photography by Gabriela Schmidt - by enhancing and deepening its language and symbolism: the colors yellow, blue, and white - representative of the duo's home state of Tocantins - and the complementarity between them.

The enclosure organizes the song lyrics in an organic and fluid manner, interpreting the rhythm and pace of the songs - an allusion to concrete poetry's attitude of freeing the message and its interpretation from a Cartesian reading, expanding its interpretive margin and highlighting the poetic meaning of the songs. The textual information is complemented by graphic gestures that also interpret the sensations and meanings of the songs and symbolize the experimental and playful production process of the album. The result is a representation of the intimate relationship between words, rhythm, and image.
